People
who become leaders don’t always
seek the challenges they face.
Challenges also seek leaders.
It’s not so important whether
you find the challenges or they
find you. What’s important are
the choices you make.
-- Kouzes & Posner,
The Leadership Challenge, 4th edition,
page 183
Frequently,
the difference between success
and failure is the resolve to
stick to your plan long enough
to win.

Many
of you shared with me the
challenges you faced in
2009...”How can I get my
team to achieve more?” “How
can our organization get
better results with fewer
resources?” “How can we
improve productivity and
morale at the same time?”
How can I follow through
better?” I think these questions
can be rolled up into, “How
can we consistently execute
our plans?”
Every year on January 1st,
people make new resolutions.
It is a time to start fresh,
to implement new plans for
various areas of our lives.
But we all know what happens,
about 70% of these resolutions
last about a month at best.
It’s not that we have bad
intentions, it is just that
most of us do not stick
to it long enough to create
a new habit (new neuro-pathways),
resulting in a new behavior
or way of being.
What I’ve seen over the
past 10 years of working
with leaders globally in
diversified industries isn’t
all that different. Leaders
develop brilliant strategies
and initially are highly
motivated to implement them.
However, most leaders do
not stick to their strategies
long enough to complete
them and achieve the desired
result. From coaching leaders
at all organizational levels,
I’ve seen this challenge
of executing plans across
the board. In fact, I’d
go so far as to say that
the greatest challenge for
leaders today isn’t the
lack of well though-out
strategies, but the lack
of disciplined execution
of them.
I’d like to share with
you a formula based on one
from Lee J. Colan author
of Sticking to It –
The Art of Adherence. Lee explains
how the game is not won
by creating new strategies,
but by adherence to your
current strategy. Based
on the experiences of high-achieving
individuals and teams, there
are three components:
Adherence
= Focus X Strength X Passion
When you think about Adherence
this way, the critical role
of each component becomes
clear. There is also an
exponential relationship
between the three components
– a higher level of Focus,
Strength or Passion will
result in a dramatic increase
in Adherence. As you increase
each component, you build
momentum toward executing
your strategy.
A team builds momentum
as it adheres to its plan
the same way you build momentum
when you achieve small goals
that lead to bigger goals.
The required effort decreases
over time as actions become
habits, and them momentum
increases, resulting in
a self-reinforcing cycle
of achievement.

The Strengths
Success System™ supports
you in:
1. How
often are you doing what
you do best at work?
2. How passionate
are you about what you do at work?
3. In general has
your focus been on leveraging your strengths
or improving your weaknesses?
4.
Are you
aware that people who do what
they do best EVERY day are
3 times more likely to have
an excellent quality of life
overall?
Gallup’s research reveals
that only 12% of people
in the workplace utilize
their strengths "most
of the time." In general,
society is fascinated by
weaknesses (most employee
reviews bear this out),
and we take strengths for
granted. Years of research
prove that individuals and
teams playing to their strengths
significantly outperform
those who don't in almost
every business metric.
Welcome to The Strengths
Success System™, a 3 part
system to refocus around
your top 3 strengths and
restore Strength, Passion
and Performance to your
life.
The Strengths Success System™supports
you in:

and weaknesses
2. Building your strengths and managing
around your weaknesses
3. Consistently performing from your
strengths and passion.
It is delivered by teleconference
in six- sessions, sixty minutes each,
